In a little town in the State of Sonora, Mexico, we are building an art and cultural center to help the people of the town.
We were accepted in the 3 for 1 program for migrants, a Federal Government Program, for every dollar we put in for the center, the Mexican Government (Federal, State, Municipal) adds 3 dollars; we have a 501(c)3 charitable organizacion in the US, the name is Huachinera Enterpraise for Arts and Rural Traditions, "HEART" we do a fundraising event every year in Scott…

I have been to AP, Mexico. I saw children begging for money while drinking a can of beer! This breaks my heart. America is for a wall yet there are people suffering. America is the land of opportunity, why doesn't anyone take a stand for these people that are coming here for a better life. It is human nature to seek happiness. I am appalled at the mere suggestion of a wall! Mexico needs our help America! These people work harder than any American I have ever known. Can't we see the action as a c…

Mexican leader critiques U.S. border fence Reuters
Mexican President Felipe Calderon criticized the planned U.S. border fence designed to stem illegal immigration, saying countries should be "building bridges, not fences" in an interview broadcast on Monday.
On ABC television's "Good Morning America," Calderon lauded President George W. Bush's failed attem

A popular argument among advocates of immigration controls is that a
nation has a “right” to control its borders. The argument is based on
the supposed “right” of the U.S. government to station gendarmes along
its international borders, including on privately owned land, to
prevent people from coming into the country illegally.
What the
advocates of control never address, however, is a related situation: If
the government has the “right” to prevent people from coming…

Mike Orshan challenged me to put something about what I am "looking for" here in this group. Here's some initial thoughts:
I have a home in the Bajio - the central highlands of Mexico. Our home is in Cueramaro, an agricultural area in the state of Guanajuato, near Irapuato and Leon. Because we are in the center of Mexico, we are within reach of many emerging business areas. We also have a home in Sacramento, California. I have worked in Mexico City and Morelia, Michoacan for various t…

Immigration control is a global challenge, and yet not one developed country has developed a good workable and acceptable legal immigration plan that
eliminates illegal immigration.
There are political solutions, and then there are real solutions.…

Where are the immigrant groups lobbying for a Constitutional immigration policy?
I see conservatives shouting to throw "foreigners" out of the country, and immigrants wanting amnesty with no cut in welfare. You can't have it both ways. Becky Ackers wrote in the Foundation for Economic Education what the Founders wanted - no immigration interference, but no welfare either.
All the Founders were worried about was "naturalizing" immigrants so they'd make good Americans. They were…
